The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.18.26

प्रकटाक्षगवाक्षान्तः क्रीडत्प्रज्ञागृहाङ्गनम् ।
चिन्तादुहितृकं ब्रह्मन्नेष्टं देहगृहं मम ॥ २६ ॥

prakaṭākṣagavākṣāntaḥ krīḍatprajñāgṛhāṅganam |
cintāduhitṛkaṃ brahmanneṣṭaṃ dehagṛhaṃ mama || 26 ||

It is no lovely house where the external organs are playing their parts, while its mistress the understanding sits inside with her brood of anxieties.
