The Garga-samhita Verse 5.18.26, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 18 (Uddhava Hears the Gopis’ Words and Returns to Mathura) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

मार्तण्ड उदयं प्राप्ते
नत्वा गोपीं यशोमतीम्
नन्द-राजम् अनुज्ञाप्य
नव-नन्दांस् तदोद्धवः

mārtaṇḍa udayaṃ prāpte
natvā gopīṃ yaśomatīm
nanda-rājam anujñāpya
nava-nandāṃs tadoddhavaḥ

mārtaṇḍathe sun; udayam—rising; prāpte—attained; natvā—bowing; gopīm—to the gopī; yaśomatīm—Yaśodā; nanda-rājam—to King Nanda; anujñāpya—taking permission; nava-nandān—the nine Nandas; tadāthen; uddhavaḥUddhava.

English translation of verse 5.18.26:

As the sun rose, uddhava bowed down before the gopī Yaśoda, King Nanda, and the nine Nandas. Then Uddhava asked for permission to depart.
