This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 67.118

राजपुत्रो शूरो वीरो युद्धस्मिं अप्रतिपुद्गलो ।
कुशो ऽयम् आरूढप्रज्ञो इदं वचनम् अब्रवीत् ॥ ११८ ॥

rājaputro śūro vīro yuddhasmiṃ apratipudgalo |
kuśo 'yam ārūḍhaprajño idaṃ vacanam abravīt || 118 ||

Then Kusha, the son of a king, heroic, invincible in combat, this Kusha who was noble and wise, spoke these words. (118)
