This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 19.121

एषो काशीपुरे शास्ता वाराणस्यां वने शुभे ।
पारगः सर्वधर्माणां सर्वसंशयसूदनः ॥ १२१ ॥

eṣo kāśīpure śāstā vārāṇasyāṃ vane śubhe |
pāragaḥ sarvadharmāṇāṃ sarvasaṃśayasūdanaḥ || 121 ||

“In Kashi’s capital city, in Benares, in the fair forest there, abides the Master, who is perfect in all things, who is the dispeller of all doubt.” (121)
