The review of my book: My Baba....published in the Apr-Jun 2007 issue of Triveni by D. Ranga Rao is really heart-warming. I quote below the words used by some of my friends and relatives on reading it:

“A comprehensive review”
“We are proud of it.”
“A comprehensive review of an excellent book”
“It is an excellent review bringing out all the salient points from the book. It is fascinating to read about Kausalya and Devaki in particular.”
May Swami shower His blessings on Triveni and all of you associated with its publication.

Apart from Triple Stream which is the gem of writing. I appreciate Dr. Devi Shetty for conducting free heart surgeries to 4000 children. He is a philanthropist to the core. I recall here that God sends such children into the world to look after the needy. Dr. Devi Shetty is one whose exemplary noble cause will be long remembered.
The rest of the articles are simply superb.

Your article on the ‘Art of Ageing Youthfully’ is an excellent, rejuvenating and invigorating tonic, quite refreshing and thoroughly enjoyable. Every reader should understand and appreciate the full significance of your comment “Service is prose, retirement is poetry.” Very few people realize that “the art of life consists in joyful acceptance and constant readjustment to change, adaptation to the new environment and inter-personal relations.”
Your editorial, ‘Role of The Media and Freedom of the Press’ – describes effectively the most dangerous trends that will undermine and destroy the moral and spiritual fabric of our culture and tradition.

I almost liked it from cover to cover particularly your ‘Triple Stream’ and Shubha Tiwari’s ‘An Indian Brand of Feminism’, ‘Victims of Caste, .....’ by A N Guruprasad and Prof. Eliah, Ram Sharma’s ‘Understanding Literature’ and C. Shyam Mohan’s compilation ‘A winner is not one who never fails...’

When I read your article “Women on the March” I felt as if I was reading Shakespeare and Rabindranath Tagore in style and tone. Your observations “Shastras were interpreted by men for women” and “The hand that once rocked the cradle should rule the world” are apt and impressive. Your mention of Smt. Prathibha Patil proved prophetic. Like Leigh Hunt’s Abou Ben Adhem, your article, in letter and in spirit leads the rest. Oh, ripened thoughts from a fertile brain!

I am happy to note the information about TRIVENI and its Founder editor. So many good literary journals including BHARATI had to close. But an essentially devoted person like you kept Triveni in good health.
