The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्फुटत्कुड्यत्रुटत्काष्ठरटच्छङ्कुकृतोद्रटम् ।
प्रपतच्छादनच्छत्रगवाक्षस्थाङ्गनामुखम् ॥ ३२ ॥

sphuṭatkuḍyatruṭatkāṣṭharaṭacchaṅkukṛtodraṭam |
prapatacchādanacchatragavākṣasthāṅganāmukham || 32 ||

The houses and huts were breaking and cracking, their beams and posts were splitting, the pillars and supports were bursting, and the roofs and coverings were falling down, while the females were looking out with their faces fixed at the windows.
