The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.108.38

करानुन्नामयन्तः खे मांसवृक्षवनोपमाः ।
बृंहन्ति वारणव्यूहा वर्षावारिदवृन्दवत् ॥ ३८ ॥

karānunnāmayantaḥ khe māṃsavṛkṣavanopamāḥ |
bṛṃhanti vāraṇavyūhā varṣāvāridavṛndavat || 38 ||

Their uplifted arms in the air, appear as rising forests of fleshy arbours in the sky; and the resounding phalanx of big elephants, seem as huge bodies of rainy clouds roaring on high.
