The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उत्फुल्लकिंशुकवनैरुड्डीनैरिव वाऽऽवृतम् ।
और्वेण चावृता आसन्फुल्लाशोकवना इव ॥ ३६ ॥

utphullakiṃśukavanairuḍḍīnairiva vā''vṛtam |
aurveṇa cāvṛtā āsanphullāśokavanā iva || 36 ||

Overspread with the flaming fires, the sky appeared as an overhanging garden of blooming Asoka flowers, or as a bed of the red kinsuka blossoms hanging aloft in the sky.
