The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.29.117

ईश्वर उवाच ।
शृणु ब्रह्मविदां श्रेष्ठ देवार्चनमनुत्तमम् ।
वदामि मुच्यते येन कृतेन सकृदेव हि ॥ ११७ ॥

īśvara uvāca |
śṛṇu brahmavidāṃ śreṣṭha devārcanamanuttamam |
vadāmi mucyate yena kṛtena sakṛdeva hi || 117 ||

The god replied:—Hear me, O Brahman, that art best acquainted with the knowledge of Brahma; tell you about the best mode of worshipping the gods, and the performance of which is sure to set the worshipper free.
