The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.67.33

असक्तं निर्मलं चित्तं मुक्तं संसार्यपि स्फुटम् ।
सक्तं तु दीर्घतपसा युक्तमप्यतिबन्धवत् ॥ ३३ ॥

asaktaṃ nirmalaṃ cittaṃ muktaṃ saṃsāryapi sphuṭam |
saktaṃ tu dīrghatapasā yuktamapyatibandhavat || 33 ||

The unattached and untinged mind is said to be set at liberty, though it is set at work in the world; but the mind which though it is attached to the world, is said to be unattached, if it is thoughtless of it, though it is practiced to austerities.
