The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

याति वाचामगम्यत्वादसत्तामिव शाश्वतीम् ।
नैरात्म्यसिद्धान्तदशामुपयातेव तिष्ठति ॥ १०१ ॥

yāti vācāmagamyatvādasattāmiva śāśvatīm |
nairātmyasiddhāntadaśāmupayāteva tiṣṭhati || 101 ||

The soul being inexpressible in words, proves to be a negative idea only; and there ensues a state of one's perpetual unconsciousness of his soul or self-existence.
