The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पृष्टः सन्प्रकृतं वक्ति न पृष्टः स्थाणुवत्स्थितः ।
ईहितानीहितैर्मुक्तः संसारे नावसीदति ॥ ८ ॥

pṛṣṭaḥ sanprakṛtaṃ vakti na pṛṣṭaḥ sthāṇuvatsthitaḥ |
īhitānīhitairmuktaḥ saṃsāre nāvasīdati || 8 ||

Who, when asked, says what he is doing, but unasked remains as a dead block; and is freed from desire and disgust; he is never depressed in his heart and mind.
