The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.86.22

स्वल्पेनैव हि कालेन प्रावृषेव नवाम्बुदाः ।
ते सप्तवर्षवयसो बभूवुर्ज्ञातवाङ्मयाः ॥ २२ ॥

svalpenaiva hi kālena prāvṛṣeva navāmbudāḥ |
te saptavarṣavayaso babhūvurjñātavāṅmayāḥ || 22 ||

In course of a short time, they attained their boyhood, and became conversant in the language of the gods (Sanskrit); as the mute clouds become sonorous in the rainy season.
