The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.48.51

दंष्ट्राबिसाङ्कुराक्रान्तमुखपङ्काक्षदेहकाः ।
उदिता लोमजम्बाला दुष्पल्वलतटा इव ॥ ५१ ॥

daṃṣṭrābisāṅkurākrāntamukhapaṅkākṣadehakāḥ |
uditā lomajambālā duṣpalvalataṭā iva || 51 ||

With mouths beset by rows of sprouting teeth like lotus stalks, and faces defaced by dirty and fusty eyes, their hairy bodies were as stagnate pools full of moss and weeds.
