The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मणिमुक्ताझणत्काररणत्कूबरकारवौ ।
वाताहतपताकाग्रपटत्पटपटारवौ ॥ २८ ॥

maṇimuktājhaṇatkāraraṇatkūbarakāravau |
vātāhatapatākāgrapaṭatpaṭapaṭāravau || 28 ||

The jingling (jhanat) of gemming ornaments, and the tinkling (ranat) bells of war carriages, with the flapping (patat) of flags by the wind, filled the field with a confused noise.
