The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.43.58

रक्तकर्दमवाष्पाम्बुक्लिन्नग्रन्धितवाससः ।
भुजमूलार्पितभुजैर्नीयमाना बलान्नृभिः ॥ ५८ ॥

raktakardamavāṣpāmbuklinnagrandhitavāsasaḥ |
bhujamūlārpitabhujairnīyamānā balānnṛbhiḥ || 58 ||

They fell in a body with their arms twisted about the necks of one another, and the ends of their cloths tied to each other's; and in this way they were dragged by force of the ruffians, with their bodies mangled in blood.
