The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.43.1

श्रीसरस्वत्युवाच ।
अस्मिन् रणवरे राजन्मर्तव्यं भवताधुना ।
प्राप्तव्यं प्राक्तनं राज्यं सर्वं प्रत्यक्षमेव ते ॥ १ ॥

śrīsarasvatyuvāca |
asmin raṇavare rājanmartavyaṃ bhavatādhunā |
prāptavyaṃ prāktanaṃ rājyaṃ sarvaṃ pratyakṣameva te || 1 ||

The goddess added:—Know further, O prince! that you are destined to fall in this great battle, and will have your former realm, presented to you in the same manner as before.
