Verse 3.10.31

सत्येवेयमसत्यैव चित्तचेत्यादिता परे ।
तद्भावात्प्रतिबिम्बस्य प्रतिबिम्बार्हता कुतः ॥ ३१ ॥

satyeveyamasatyaiva cittacetyāditā pare |
tadbhāvātpratibimbasya pratibimbārhatā kutaḥ || 31 ||

Such being the state of the unreality of the mind and its cognizables, their reflections upon each other (i. e. of the mind upon the object and those of the object on the mind), are equally untrue as the shadow of a shadow. (Here is an utter negation of perception and perceptibles. There being no material subtratum, the shadowy scene of the world is a mere mental synthesis. Berkeley).{GL_NOTE:73113:}
