The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.15.6

अप्राप्तवाञ्छामुत्सृज्य संप्राप्ते समतां गतः ।
अदृष्टखेदाखेदो यः स संतुष्ट इहोच्यते ॥ ६ ॥

aprāptavāñchāmutsṛjya saṃprāpte samatāṃ gataḥ |
adṛṣṭakhedākhedo yaḥ sa saṃtuṣṭa ihocyate || 6 ||

Abandonment of unfruitful desires and calmness in those that are obtained, feeling no pain at and having no sense of pleasure (in any thing), constitute what is called contentment here below.
