The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.2.15

वसिष्ठ भगवन्पूर्वं कच्चित्स्मरसि यत्स्वयम् ।
आवयोर्वैरशान्त्यर्थं श्रेयसे च महाधियाम् ॥ १५ ॥

vasiṣṭha bhagavanpūrvaṃ kaccitsmarasi yatsvayam |
āvayorvairaśāntyarthaṃ śreyase ca mahādhiyām || 15 ||

Then addressing himself to vasishtha he said:—you well remember sir, the instruction given us of old, for pacifying our mutual enmity, and promoting the welfare of the high minded sages.
