The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.25.21

प्रमत्तपुष्करावर्तडमरोड्डामरारवैः ।
तस्याः किल पलायन्ते कल्पान्ते तुम्बुरादयः ॥ २१ ॥

pramattapuṣkarāvartaḍamaroḍḍāmarāravaiḥ |
tasyāḥ kila palāyante kalpānte tumburādayaḥ || 21 ||

The horrible roaring of the giddy clouds Pushkara and Avarta at the end of the Kalpa, serves to represent the beating of her Damaru drum, and put to flight the heavenly choir of Tumburu.
