The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

धत्तेऽजस्रोत्थितोद्ध्वस्तान्सर्गानमितभास्वरान् ।
अन्यान्दधद्दिवानक्तं वीचीरब्धिरिवात्मनि ॥ २५ ॥

dhatte'jasrotthitoddhvastānsargānamitabhāsvarān |
anyāndadhaddivānaktaṃ vīcīrabdhirivātmani || 25 ||

As the sea shows himself in a continued series of waves rising and falling one after another, so it is time that creates and dissolves the world, and appears to rise and fall in the rotation of days and nights.
