The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.11.15

सत्त्वावष्टब्धगर्भेण शल्येनेव हिमाचलम् ।
श्रितं सकलसेव्येन गम्भीरेण स्फुटेन च ॥ १५ ॥

sattvāvaṣṭabdhagarbheṇa śalyeneva himācalam |
śritaṃ sakalasevyena gambhīreṇa sphuṭena ca || 15 ||

He appeared by his qualities of mildness and gravity to resemble the mount Himalaya (with his cooling frost and firmness), and was esteemed by all for the depth and clearness.
