विलसन्ति नितम्बिन्यो यत्र चित्राम्बराञ्चिताः |
विचरन्ति शिवास् तत्र त्वद्-वैरि-भवने विभो ||
vilasanti nitambinyo yatra citrāmbarāñcitāḥ |
vicaranti śivās tatra tvad-vairi-bhavane vibho ||
O Lord, in your enemy’s residence, where women with large hips and colorful clothing used to have fun, jackals now roam.
Commentary:
This is Paṇḍita-rāja Jagannātha’s example:
prathamaṃ śrita-kañja-korakābhāv atha śobhām anubhūya kandukānām |
adhunā śrayituṃ kucau yatete dayite te kari-śāva-kumbha-līlām ||“Sweetheart, at first your breasts had the splendor of lotus buds. Now, having experienced the resplendence of two play balls, they are endeavoring to assume the look of the temples of a young elephant” (Rasa-gaṅgādhara, KM p. 480).
