The Garga-samhita Verse 4.17.5, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 17 (Prayers to Sri Yamuna) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

क्र्स्ने साक्सात् क्र्स्न-रुपा त्वम् एव वेगावर्ते वर्तसे मत्स्य-रुपी उर्माव् उर्मौ कुर्म-रुपी सदा ते बिन्दौ बिन्दौ भाति गोविन्द-देवः

krsne sāksāt krsna-rupā tvam eva vegāvarte vartase matsya-rupī urmāv urmau kurma-rupī sadā te bindau bindau bhāti govinda-devaḥ

krsne—O Yamunā; sāksāt—directky; krsna-rupāthe form of Lord Krsna; tvam—you; eva—indeed; vegāvarte—swift currents; vartase—you are; matsya-rupī—in the form of Lord Matsya; urmau—in the waves; urmau—in the waves; kurma-rupī—in the form of Lord Kurma; sadāalways; te—of you; bindau—in drop; bindau—after drop; bhātishines; govinda-devaḥ—Lord Krsna.

English translation of verse 4.17.5:

O Yamunā, you have a spiritual form like that of Srī Krsna. In your whirlpools Lord Matsya appears. In your waves Lord Kurma appears. In each drop of your water, Lord Krsna is splendidly manifest.
