The Garga-samhita Verse 3.10.1, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 10 (The Glory of Shri Giriraja) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
अत्रैवोदाहरन्तीमं
इतिहासं पुरातनम्
यस्य श्रवण-मात्रेण
महा-पापं प्रणश्यति

śrī-nārada uvāca
atraivodāharantīmaṃ
itihāsaṃ purātanam
yasya śravaṇa-mātreṇa
mahā-pāpaṃ praṇaśyati

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; atra—here; eva—indeed; udāharanti—say; imam—thus; itihāsam—history; purātanam—ancient; yasya—of which; śravaṇa-mātreṇa—simply by hearing; mahā-pāpam—great sin; praṇaśyati—is destroyed.

English translation of verse 3.10.1:

Śrī Nārada said: This is the most ancient history of Goloka. When one hears it, all his sins are destoryed.
