गदा-प्रहार-व्यथितः
किञ्चिद्-व्याकुल-मानसः
पुनर् उत्थाय सर्वेषां
मुष्टिना स तताड ह
gadā-prahāra-vyathitaḥ
kiñcid-vyākula-mānasaḥ
punar utthāya sarveṣāṃ
muṣṭinā sa tatāḍa ha
gadā—of the club; prahāra—by the blow; vyathitaḥ—wounded; kiñcit—somewhat; vyākula—distresed; mānasaḥ—in mind; punaḥ—again; utthāya—rising; sarveṣām—of all; muṣṭinā—with a fist; sa—he; tatāḍa—struck; ha—certainly.
English translation of verse 2.1.26:
Wounded by the club, and now unhappy at heart, the demon rose again and with his fist struck the Lord.
