The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. uttareṇa yajuṣā śirasta udkumbhaṃ nidhāya sarṣapān phalīkaraṇamiśrānañjalinottaraistristriḥ pratisvāhākāraṃ hutvā saṃśāsti -praviṣṭe praviṣṭa eva tūṣṇīmagnāvāvapateti // ĀpGs_15.6 //
tatassarṣapān phalīkaraṇamiśrānañjali- nā juhoti uttarairmantraiḥ aṣṭābhiḥ'ayaṃ kali'mityādibhiḥ /
tatra ca pratisvāhākāraṃ trirhomaḥ /
sakṛnmantreṇa dvistūṣṇīm /
dravyaṃ ca punaḥ punarādeyam /
kecittu sakṛdupāttenaiva trirjuhvati /
uttarayośca homayoḥ svāhākāramātramāvartayanti /
homaścāyamapūrvaḥ tantrasyāvidhā- nāt
paristaraṇaṃ tu bhavati /
pariṣeṭanaṃ samantamubhayataḥ /
hutvā tatassaṃśāsti /
kān !ye sūtikāgāraṃ praviśanti /
tatra saṃśāsane evakāraḥ
evamityasyārthe /
etaduktaṃ bhavati-asya sūtikāgārasya yadā yadā praveśo yuṣmābhiḥ kriyate tadā tadā sarṣapān phalīkaraṇa-
miśranasminnagnāvevaṃ tūṣṇīmāvapata yathā mayoptāḥ añjalinā triltriśceti /
tatra tūṣṇīmityatideśaprāptasya mantrasya pratiṣedhaḥ /
yathāsaṃpraiṣaṃ te
kurvanti /
homaścāyaṃ kumārasya rakṣārthaḥ saṃskāraḥ, na mātuḥ, prakaraṇāt /
tena yadyapi'yasyai vijātāyāṃ mana'iti māturapi rakṣā pratīyate tathāpi
tadartho homo na bhavati /
tataśca strīprasave daśāhamadhye putramṛtau ca na bhavati // 6 //

tūṣṇīkeṣvapi svāhākāro bhavati, pratimantramiti siddhe pratisvāhākāramityadhikākṣarāt /
atha sūtikāgṛhapālān samaśāsti-praviṣṭe praviṣṭa eva tūṣṇīmagnāvāvapateti /
sampraiṣasya cāyaṃ vivakṣitor'thaḥ-- pratipraveśaṃ tadanantarameva sarṣapān phalīkaraṇamiśrān añjalinā asminnevāgnau tūṣṇīṃ vāgyatā eva āvapateti /
eva kārācca praveśāvāpayormadhye truṭimātrasyāpi kālasya na kṣepaḥ /
sarṣapāṇāmevāñjalinā āvāpaḥ;prakṛtatvāt /
kecit- evakāra evamityarthe /
tūṣṇīmiti cātideśaprāptamantrapratiṣedhārthamiti //6//
