Santānavṛddhi (सन्तानवृद्धि) refers to the “flourishing of the family”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.54 (“Description of the duties of the chaste wife”).—Accordingly, as a Brahmin lady said to Pārvatī: “[...] Wife is the root of the household, and of its happiness; she is the source of the fruit of virtue and for the flourishing of the family (santānavṛddhi). In every house there are women proud of their exquisite beauty and comely appearance. But it is only due to the devotion of Śiva that a chaste lady is obtained. [...]”.

Saṃtānavṛddhi (संतानवृद्धि) is the name of a deity [i.e., oṃ saṃtānavṛddhaye svāhā], according to the Kalaśa Pūjā [i.e., Kalasha Worship] ritual often performed in combination with the Cakrasaṃvara Samādhi, which refers to the primary pūjā and sādhanā practice of Newah Mahāyāna-Vajrayāna Buddhists in Nepal.
