1) To gaze at steadfastly, mark or view completely; (dhenvā) ... निरीक्ष्यमाणः सुतरां दयालुः (nirīkṣyamāṇaḥ sutarāṃ dayāluḥ) R.2.52; यावदेतान् निरीक्षेऽहं योद्धुकामानवस्थितान् (yāvadetān nirīkṣe'haṃ yoddhukāmānavasthitān) Bhagavadgītā (Bombay) 1.22; Manusmṛti 4.38.
