Source: Google Books: ManthanabhairavatantramMātṛsthāna (मातृस्थान) refers to a “temple dedicated to the Mothers”, according to the Śrīmatottara-tantra, an expansion of the Kubjikāmatatantra: the earliest popular and most authoritative Tantra of the Kubjikā cult.—Accordingly, while describing Trikhaṇḍā: “[...] When the goddess is visualized in this way, she accomplishes everything one wishes to achieve. O beloved, she should be worshipped with effort with meat, liquor and the rest in a temple dedicated to the Mothers (mātṛsthāna), a cremation ground, a derelict house, at a crossroads or in one's own home. O goddess, when she is worshipped she fulfils every desire”.
Shakta (शाक्त, śākta) or Shaktism (śāktism) represents a tradition of Hinduism where the Goddess (Devi) is revered and worshipped. Shakta literature includes a range of scriptures, including various Agamas and Tantras, although its roots may be traced back to the Vedas.
