The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

वराहमीनाश्वखरोष्ट्रवक्त्रा व्याघ्रर्क्षसिंहद्विरदाननाश्च ।
एकेक्षणा नैकमुखास्त्रिशीर्षा लम्बोदराश्चैव पृषोदराश्च ॥ १९ ॥

varāhamīnāśvakharoṣṭravaktrā vyāghrarkṣasiṃhadviradānanāśca |
ekekṣaṇā naikamukhāstriśīrṣā lambodarāścaiva pṛṣodarāśca || 19 ||

Having the faces of boars, fishes, horses, asses, and camels, of tigers, bears, lions, and elephants,—one-eyed, many-faced, three-headed,—with protuberant bellies and speckled bellies;
