This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 96.11

आलोकमात्रसंविग्ना दिशा दश समन्ततो ।
त्वया आयुधश्रेष्ठस्मिं क्षिप्तस्मिं पुरुषोत्तमं ॥ ११ ॥

ālokamātrasaṃvignā diśā daśa samantato |
tvayā āyudhaśreṣṭhasmiṃ kṣiptasmiṃ puruṣottamaṃ || 11 ||

“O Best of men, when thou dost hurl thy consummate weapon, the ten quarters all around are visibly shaken. (11)
