This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 94.49

अष्टाविंशति नक्षत्रा सप्तसप्त चतुर्दिशं ।
सह चन्द्रमसूर्येहि त्रिंशद् भोन्ति अनूनकं ॥ ४९ ॥

aṣṭāviṃśati nakṣatrā saptasapta caturdiśaṃ |
saha candramasūryehi triṃśad bhonti anūnakaṃ || 49 ||

Eight and twenty constellations, seven for each of the four quarters, with the moon and sun making a full thirty. (49)
