The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवाल्मीकिरुवाच ।
एतत्ते कथितं राजन्कुम्भयोनेः सुभाषितम् ।
अमुना तत्त्वमार्गेण तत्पदं प्राप्स्यसि ध्रुवम् ॥ १ ॥

śrīvālmīkiruvāca |
etatte kathitaṃ rājankumbhayoneḥ subhāṣitam |
amunā tattvamārgeṇa tatpadaṃ prāpsyasi dhruvam || 1 ||

Valmiki continued to say said:—I have thus related to you, O prince, whatever the poet born Vasishtha had taught and preached to the princes; and it is certain that you will attain the same elevated state, as they did by the hearing of these lectures on sacred knowledge.
