The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.1.11

मुक्ताजालप्रभाजालभस्मनोद्धूलितात्मनि ।
शंसतीव शमं शाम्यद्दिनदेहे दिवातपे ॥ ११ ॥

muktājālaprabhājālabhasmanoddhūlitātmani |
śaṃsatīva śamaṃ śāmyaddinadehe divātape || 11 ||

The pearly rays (or bright beams) of the parting day, being covered by the dust and mist of the dusk, it seemed to be besmeared as the body of a dervish with dust and ashes; and had gained its coolness after its journey under the burning sun.
