The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.34.87

शमश्रीः सौगती सौम्या मादिरी मदलोलता ।
माधवी पुष्पमयता वार्षिकी घनशब्दिता ॥ ८७ ॥

śamaśrīḥ saugatī saumyā mādirī madalolatā |
mādhavī puṣpamayatā vārṣikī ghanaśabditā || 87 ||

Equanimity is the nature of Saugatas or Buddhists, and carousing is the penchant of winebibbers; the spring delights in its flowering, and the rainy season exults in the roaring of its clouds.
