The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्राकृतान्येव कर्माणि यया वर्जितवाञ्छया ।
क्रियन्ते तृष्णयेमानि तां जीवन्मुक्ततां विदुः ॥ २ ॥

prākṛtānyeva karmāṇi yayā varjitavāñchayā |
kriyante tṛṣṇayemāni tāṃ jīvanmuktatāṃ viduḥ || 2 ||

The desire of doing one's duties without expectation of their reward, is also called the living liberation, and the doers of their respective duties, are said to be the living liberated.
