The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.5.42

भावयन्नात्मनात्मानं चिद्रूपेणैव चिन्मयम् ।
ऋजूज्ज्वलमये ह्यात्मा स्वयमात्मनि जृम्भते ॥ ४२ ॥

bhāvayannātmanātmānaṃ cidrūpeṇaiva cinmayam |
ṛjūjjvalamaye hyātmā svayamātmani jṛmbhate || 42 ||

By meditating on the Supreme Soul in yourself, and by contemplation of the intelligent Spirit in your own intellect, you will find the glory of the Supreme Spirit, shining brightly in your pure spirit.
