The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.2.9

संध्यां ववन्दिरे सुष्टु जेपुश्चैवाघमर्षणम् ।
पेठुः स्तोत्राणि पुण्यानि जगुर्गाथा मनोहराः ॥ ९ ॥

saṃdhyāṃ vavandire suṣṭu jepuścaivāghamarṣaṇam |
peṭhuḥ stotrāṇi puṇyāni jagurgāthā manoharāḥ || 9 ||

They recited their evening hymn (Sandhya), repeated their japamantras, and uttered their prayer for the forgiveness of sins (agha marshana); they read aloud their hymns and sang their evening song of praise.
