The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

असृक्सरित्तीरजातकुन्तोन्नतवनद्रुमम् ।
असृक्सरोवरोर्ध्वस्थपताकानलिनीगणम् ॥ ४९ ॥

asṛksarittīrajātakuntonnatavanadrumam |
asṛksarovarordhvasthapatākānalinīgaṇam || 49 ||

The lances fixed beside the streams of blood, were as a woody forest on the bank of a river; and the flags floating on the surface, appeared as a bush of lotuses in the liquid blood.
