The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अष्टभागदशाशेषप्रतापमधुराकृति ।
शस्त्रघातौजसा वीर इवाहस्तनुतां ययौ ॥ ६ ॥

aṣṭabhāgadaśāśeṣapratāpamadhurākṛti |
śastraghātaujasā vīra ivāhastanutāṃ yayau || 6 ||

The day declined after it had run its course of the eight watches (Yamardhas), and assumed the graceful countenance of a hero, returning in glory, after he has fought his battle.
