शौचात् स्वाङ्गजुगुप्सा परैरसंसर्गः ॥ २.४० ॥

śaucāt svāṅgajugupsā parairasaṃsargaḥ || 2.40 ||

(40) From the practice of purification, aversion develops towards one’s own body which extends to contact with other bodies.

Ancient and Modern interpretation:

Our body is really unclean from inside.So ṣaṭkriyās help cleansing of body from inside and it also develops aversion towards your body.This physical cleansing is required for spiritual progress.
