श्री-नारद उवाच
साधु पृष्ठं त्वया राजन्
भगवच्-चरितं शुभम्
गुप्तं वदामि देवैश् च
लीलाख्यानं मनोहरम्
śrī-nārada uvāca
sādhu pṛṣṭhaṃ tvayā rājan
bhagavac-caritaṃ śubham
guptaṃ vadāmi devaiś ca
līlākhyānaṃ manoharam
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; sādhu—well; pṛṣṭham—asked; tvayā—by you; rājan—O king; bhagavac-caritam—the Lord's pastimes; śubham—auspicious; guptam—secret; vadāmi—I tell; devaiś—by the demigods; ca—and; līlākhyānam—the story of pastimes; manoharam—beautiful.
English translation of verse 2.15.7:
Śrī Nārada said: O king, you have asked well. I will tell the Lord's beautiful and auspicious pastime, which is hidden even from the demigods.
