The Garga-samhita Verse 1.13.13, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. सर्वतो बालकं नीत्वा
रक्षां चक्रुर् विधानतः
कालिन्दी-पुण्य-मृत्-तोयैर्
गो-पुच्छ-भ्रमणादिभिः

sarvato bālakaṃ nītvā
rakṣāṃ cakrur vidhānataḥ
kālindī-puṇya-mṛt-toyair
go-puccha-bhramaṇādibhiḥ

sarvataḥ—completely; bālakam—the infant; nītvā—taking; rakṣām—protection; cakruḥ—did; vidhānataḥ—properly; kālindīof the Yamunā; puṇyasacred; mṛt—with mud; toyaiḥ—and water; gaḥ—of the cows; pucchatails; bhramaṇawith the movements; ādibhiḥ—beginning.

English translation of verse 1.13.13:

Then they took the child and acted to give Him protection by anointing Him with the Yamunā's sacred water and clay, by having a cow wave its tail before Him, and by doing other things also.
