The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.10.170, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 170 of Madhya-khanda chapter 10—“Conclusion of the Lord’s Maha-prakasha Pastimes”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.10.170:

কেহ বলে,—“মোর বাপে না দেয আসিবারে তার চিত্ত ভাল হৌক, দেহ’ এই বরে” ॥ ১৭০ ॥

केह बले,—“मोर बापे ना देय आसिबारे तार चित्त भाल हौक, देह’ एइ वरे” ॥ १७० ॥

keha bale,—“mora bāpe nā deya āsibāre tāra citta bhāla hauka, deha’ ei vare” || 170 ||

keha bale,—“mora bape na deya asibare tara citta bhala hauka, deha’ ei vare” (170)

English translation:

(170) Someone said, “My father does not allow me to come. Please give me the benediction that his heart may change.”

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

One person prayed, “My well-wishing, guardian father has forbidden me to advance on the path of devotional service. Please give me the benediction that his mind may change and he will not place obstacles on the path of my cultivation of Kṛṣṇa consciousness.”
