patrādīnāṃ yathottaraṃ kramādgurutvam| tena patraśākamapekṣya puṣpaśākaṃ guru, tataḥ phalaśākam, tato nālaśākam, tato'pi kandaśākamiti| evaṃ haritakeṣvapi gurutvaṃ vedyam| bāhulyena caitaduktam| mūlake hi vaiparītyaṃ dṛśyate| tathā hi-mūlakasya hi kande laghutvam| ata eva munirapyāha (?)-"mūlake tu viparyayaḥ|"iti| śākānāṃ haritakānāṃ ca yeṣāmiha paryāyā noktāsteṣāṃ sadvaidyebhyo'vagantavyāḥ| atha varāvaratvaṃ nirdhārayati-
