1) flehen , heischen , betteln , bittend angehen , anflehen ; mit Acc. der Person und der Sache ; die Person häufig auch im Abl. , seltener im Gen. ; die Sache auch in Comp. mit arthe oder artham im Acc. mit prati und im Dat. (bei einem Nom. act.). Pass. gebeten werden , — um (Acc.) , ausnahmsweise erbeten werden. Mit punar zurückfordern , wiederhaben wollen. yācita — a) erbeten ; gefordert ; geborgt ([Gautama's Dharmaśāstra]). — b) gebeten , um eine Gabe angegangen. —

2) um ein Mädchen (Acc.) werben , ein Mädchen zur Ehe verlangen von Jmd (Abl. , seltener Acc.) , für Jmd ( kṛte , arthe). Auch mit vivāhārtham. yācitā zur Ehe verlangt. —
