Gewobenes, Gewänder (von vā, vayati): u.a me pra.iyorva.iyoḥ (śyāvaḥ praṇetā bhuvat) [Ṛgveda 8, 19, 37.] Es. liessen sich gen. du. annehmen von prayī und vayī für prayyos und vayyos und letzteres könnte zu der in 3. vayas enthaltenen Wurzel gezogen werden als Bez. des jungen, kräftigen Rosses.
