Uddhura (उद्धुर):—(von ud + dhur) adj.

1) (der sich von der Deichsel losgemacht hat) ablassend von: lāṅgūloddharaṇoddharaḥ (sic) [Mahābhārata 3, 11188.] —

2) ausgelassen, munter, heiter: akṣavadhoddhuraḥ [Raghuvaṃśa ed. Calc. 12, 63 ] (v. l. uddhata). vaiṣṇavavaroddhuraḥ [Kathāsaritsāgara 22, 193.] valgadvidyādharoddhuraḥ (utsavaḥ) [175.] uddhuradhvani [Daśakumāracarita 122, 13] (Sch.: = viśṛṅkhala). jayoddhura victorious, conquering (wohl: durch den Sieg ermuthigt) [Wilson’s Wörterbuch] —

1) die ed. Bomb. liest uddhura, wie wir vermuthet hatten. Die Stelle lautet: yatnavānapi tu śrīmān lāṅgūloddharaṇoddhuraḥ . kapeḥ pārśvagato bhīmastasthau vrīḍānatānanaḥ .. In ähnlicher Verbindung erscheint das Wort [Śārṅgadhara’s Paddiiati 47,b,1] [?(68,b,3):] gurubharoddharaṇoddhurakaṃdhara . Die Bed. ist wohl sich abmühend.

2) füge noch übermüthig hinzu. maheśvaravaroddhura [Kathāsaritsāgara 115, 64.] darpoddhura [Spr. 3673.]
